Professor Iskandar Z Siregar is a faculty member at the Department of Silviculture, Faculty of Forestry, Bogor Agricultural University (IPB), Indonesia. His research interests are population genetics of forest trees, molecular genetics of forest plants, conservation and sustainable management of tropical forest genetic resources, forest tree improvement, forest adaptation and genetics in silviculture. Current broader interests are in science communication within the context of transdisciplinary research and sustainability science. He serves also as Director for Research and Innovation, Bogor Agricultural University (http://dri.ipb.ac.id). This office manages research agenda, scientific publication, intellectual property rights and innovation including coordination for implementation of Nagoya Protocol relating to biodiversity research.
